Candy Crush

I'd heard of candy crush for awhile, seen it mentioned in news articles. I'm late to the party but I'm glad I came.

The game is very addictive for many reasons, from the bright colors and the the exciting sounds. Not to mention the fx when completing a nice move.

But the real thing that grabs you is the puzzle nature of the game. The mind loves puzzles and Candy crush succeeds perfectly in this area.

Enjoy. I played Candy crush on Android, but it's available on many platforms freely.

Battlefield 4 beta

Update on BF4 beta.

The game is running smoother after the patches. I'm getting 40-50fps @ 1440x900. And 35+ in 1080p.

Graphics are set on high.

My current system is.

I5 2500k
Ati 6870
8 gb Kingston

As the game gets closer to shipping I think frame rates will improve another 5-10fps on my system. Very happy with the Ati 6870.

BF4

Recently been playing BF4 beta that is out on PC.PS3.XBOX.

As it's a beta there can be various bugs. But overall it runs pretty well. Whether you like flying a chopper. Riding the waves or jumping from a building and capturing the flag.

BF4 is lots of fun.

Tomb Raider.

     TOMB RAIDER - Reborn.

I won't lie, I have been a fan of Tomb Raider since the very first outing on the Playstation. 

There have been many sequels since then, some were fantastic, some were just ok. One was poor. Since that time other adventure games have come, Uncharted, and other games such as Farcry, Red dead redemption. When i heard there was going to be a reboot of the series, i was happy - but did not have high expectations as they can ruin things.

I will be honest with plus points for the game and negative points.

Lara croft is an innocent young lady who's father was an explorer, she is inexperienced in the world of adventure.

Lara is aboard the ship endurance, they are searching for the lost kingdom of Yamatai, supposedly home to the sun queen Himiko.

The search starts in the dragons triangle, but rough sea's and a violent storm splits the Endurance in two. Everyone reaches the island, but are separated from each other. As the story unfolds there are dangerous characters, fire fights, exploring and a very satisfying amount of enemies.

What is that awful smell.

All characters in the game have their part, some more then others. Lara is on edge and her vocals speak volumes about what is going on, sound fx in other area's is very well done.

Full Moon - Never a good sign.

Leaving the island seems to be extremely hard for anyone on the island, could there be other forces at work, the island supports many forms of life and the excellent environments speak for themselves. With light and shadow working it's magic, and with lara's fire torch lighting the way, which has other uses. Graphically the game employs a nice range of graphical effects.,( I played the pc version). All of which bring the game to life.

As the game progresses, you'll encounter various obstacles, some harder then others. But you can get hints from Lara and environmental clues. Camp fires allow you to upgrade weapons, see your stats. Move from place to place. It's all very well done and seemless.

Tomb Raider is available on PS3/PC/360.

I played this game on a PC. But the game would be a pleasure on any platform.

Performance varied depending on settings, Tressfx which makes Lara's hair realistic needs a fair bit of power.

My settings were a combination of Normal - High and Ultra. 

I'll be back, I'm a survivor!

I survived to tell the tale and i found the game to be an excellent addition to the Tomb Raider name.

I look forward to the future of the series with no worries at all. It's in good hands.

The day I made the devil cry, it was a day filled with excitement, drama, passion. And of course.

DEMONS.

Rebooting a franchise can always be hard and although many have knocked a good reboot, this game is what reboots should be like.

                                                     There is plenty on offer to enjoy here.

                     The humour, slick fighting skills, sweet weapons from both light and dark places.

On android Rail Rush is the follow to the successful Temple Run.

With a swipe of your finger, jump from track to track. Slide under and jump over obstacles.

In space nobody. Ah. That's no good

In the blue ridge. No no.

The action in the demo takes place in  the snow, with isaake clarke ready to take on the evil that awaits. With some excellent action and a sublime soundtrack. Evil lurks at every turn.

With the ability to craft your own weapons and a new co-op mode. This is perfect to team up with a friend. You know you get scared alone.

Black ops zombies

Android zombies are on the loose, hitting the google store. The 3 maps from the original game here.

The controls work ok, although the Sony phone with controls would make things easier.

There is single player and local multiplayer co-op on these maps.

Recently been playing Motorstorm on PS3. The offroad racing game with boost and total destruction.
